Volunteer Aid station assignments:

Orange Highlighted areas are the aid stations. These are where we need volunteers. Each Aid station has time blocks listed for volunteers. Yellow highlighted time blocks are spots that we are still looking to fill. If you are interested in a certain time block at a certain aid station, text me (Travis 360-259-0348) and let me know which aid station and which time block you want and I will update this page.

How to run an aid station:

If you are the first shift at an aid station, you may be arriving to an empty aid station or one that is setup already. Travis, JR, Justin are setting up the aid stations just before they are needed. At the aid station there will be a pop up tent, a table, Two 5 gallon Jugs to dispense drinks (orange is Hummingbird electrolyte drink, blue is pure water.) There will be 2 extra 5-gallon jugs of water that can be used to top off the water or to make more hummingbird.

Familiarize yourself with the course map below so you can tell people how far until the next aid station if they ask. There are only 4 aid stations. Mcmillin, Crocker, South Prairie, Buckley. All the other course locations are just for informational purposes.

At the aid station you will:

  • Collect each bib number from each runner and write down what time they come through the aid station. (this is not critical to be down to the second just rounded to the nearest minute is fine.) This is mostly to keep people honest. (We need to write down EVERY TIME they pass through. ) Runners will pass through aid stations twice. Once on the way out and once on the way back.

  • Let people know which jug is water and which just is Tailwind and help them top off their bottles if needed.

  • Offer them food

  • Cheer them on!

  • Let them know about the ice water/sponge to cool off.

  • Let Travis/JR know if supplies are getting low so they can be delivered before they run out.
