Note: some people are saying that they had to download the google maps app to make this work and others say it works fine without.

General Information:

  • Every aid station will have water and lemon flavored Tailwind Electrolyte Running Fuel. There will also be a selection of snacks, junk food and fruit.

  • This is a cupless race so please bring a 2 bottle or bladder system to get you from aid station to aid station.

  • If you wish to place a drop bag with your supplies at an aid station or want to leave one at the start/finish please limit them in size to a grocery store shopping bag for aid stations and a backpack or small bag for the start/finishline. Note: your aid station drop bags will be very slow to return to the finish line. Any items not claimed by end of day will be thrown away or donated.

6:00am-6:50am - Bib Pickup

6:52am - National Anthem (Performed by Declan Goodfellow)

6:55 - Course Briefing

7:00am - Race Start

11:00am - BBQ Starts (finishes when food runs out or everyone goes home)

~2:00 - 50K top three finishers announcement/pictures (as long as the top 3 are back by this time)

~4-5:00 - 50 Mile top three finishers announcement/pictures (as long as the top 3 are back by this time)

COURSE UPDATE:

Since there is a main bridge out, we had planned to run a course detour through a private road. There are multiple homeowners that have a say in that road. We have the ok from some of them, but we have just received some push back about us using their street for this race from one of the homeowners. Because of this, we have modified the course for this year. (next year the new bridge will be built) Please see the course description and 2 pictures below for details.

Course Description:

This race now contains 2 legs.

The first leg is an out and back that runs with the 50K runners all the way out to the turn around point at mile 15.55 and returns to Diamond Detail at 31.1 miles.

The second leg is a shorter out and back to the “Leg 2 50 mile turn” location at 40.55 miles. It is located about one and a half miles past the Mcmillin aid station. From there runners head back to Diamond Detail to finish the Race.
